It is often triggered by infections, particularly herpes simplex virus (HSV), or certain medications. Key Details: Symptoms : Skin Lesions : EMM is characterized by target-like lesions that appear on the skin, often starting on the extremities. These lesions can range from small spots to large blisters. Mucosal Involvement : EMM also affects mucous membranes, leading to painful sores in areas such as the mouth, eyes, and genital regions.
